Discussion of Zoning Reforms (2024-01-11)
UPDATE 2024-01-26: The proposed reforms were advanced to the City Commission unanimously. The stream of the meeting is available 👉here👈. It has been heard on back-channel that the approval of ADUs by Director Review by a typo, and that counter approval of ADUs is the text which will be advanced to the City Commission. Counter approval of ADUs reduces the time of the approval process dramatically in addition to eliminating a ~$1,330 fee.
Shortly before the Planning Commission meeting on January 11th the topic of the zoning reforms was appended to the end of the agenda. This discussion took place after all of the scheduled hearings. This was [presumably] preparation for the formal presentation of the red letter text of the reforms to the Planning Commission on January 25th. At that meeting the Planning Commission will decide if it will sent the presented text to the City Commission for consideration.
